What Happens to Clothes Donated at Marcy Vintage?

At Marcy Vintage, we deeply appreciate clothing donations, as they serve three important purposes:

• Helping Others
• Promoting Environmentally-Friendly Disposal
• Supporting Businesses that Give Back to Society

We focus on regional impact and are committed to ethical practices. We do not send donations abroad, nor do we sell to overseas buyers, nor contribute to projects that harm the ecosystem or lack transparency. Here’s what we do with your donations:

• Supporting Locals: A portion of the clothes we receive is provided to those in Vienna who are in need of clean, wearable clothing.
• Recycling Natural Materials: If the clothes are made from natural fibers, we repurpose them by donating them to local car garages for their practical use.
• Contributing to Charities: We regularly make financial contributions to NGOs that provide shelter and support to orphaned children.

We are always open to supporting initiatives that align with our values of humanitarian aid and environmental sustainability. If you have a cause in mind, we’d love to hear your suggestions.

If you’re unable to donate directly, we also offer a consignment option. This year alone, we’ve returned 20% of our sales to private individuals whose items we sold.

Note: Check the list of Brand accepted, before you bring in your second hand wearables. This way we can agree on what can be taken into our assortment (eg vintage and/or high branded clothing and/or mens assortment in small / medium size are always in demand!). Only then would we be able to give you an appointment. Thank you for your understanding!
